Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 9, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Wixora Technologies Pvt Ltd ("Wixora", "we", "our", "us") collects, uses, shares, protects, or otherwise processes your information and personal data through https://wixoratechnologies.com/, including our web app, mobile app, and related services (the "Platform"). We do not offer any product or service on this Platform outside India, and your personal data is primarily stored and processed in India. By visiting the Platform, providing your information, or availing any service offered on it, you expressly agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy, our Terms of Service, and the applicable service terms, and agree to be governed by the laws of India, including laws applicable to data protection and privacy. If you do not agree, please do not use or access the Platform.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: name, email address, password (hashed) or Google account identifier, and profile details you add (bio, avatar, skills). Content you create: articles, courses, comments, quiz answers, mock interview transcripts, and chat messages with the AI tutor. Usage data: pages viewed, articles read, courses enrolled, quiz scores, streaks, and interactions with AI features. Device data: IP address, browser/device type, and log data collected automatically. Payment information: when you subscribe to Pro, payment is processed directly by our payment gateway partner — we do not collect or store your card, UPI, or bank account details on our servers. You always have the option not to provide certain information by choosing not to use a particular feature.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and improve the Service, personalize your feed and AI skill roadmap, generate quizzes and mock interview feedback, process Pro subscription payments, send you notifications about your learning progress, detect and prevent fraud or abuse, enforce our Terms of Service, and communicate important updates. Where we use your information to market to you, we provide the ability to opt out of such use.

4. AI Processing

Features such as the AI Tutor, Quiz Generator, Mock Interviews, AI Skill Roadmap, and AI content generation send relevant content (such as lesson text, your questions, or your answers) to our AI providers (Anthropic or OpenAI, depending on platform configuration) to generate responses. This data is processed to deliver the feature and is not used by us to train third-party foundation models.

5. How We Share Information

We share data with service providers who help us run the Platform: Anthropic/OpenAI (AI features), Cloudinary (image hosting), Google (OAuth sign-in), Firebase (push notifications), our payment gateway partner (processing Pro subscription payments), and our database/hosting providers. We may also disclose personal data to government or law enforcement agencies if required by law, or in the good-faith belief that disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with a legal process, enforce our Terms of Service, or protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public. We do not sell your personal information. Content you publish publicly (articles, comments, public profile) is visible to other users by design.

6. Security Precautions

Your data is stored on secure, managed cloud infrastructure (PostgreSQL via Supabase). We adopt reasonable security practices and procedures to protect your data from unauthorised access, disclosure, loss, or misuse — including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), hashed (never plain-text) passwords, and JWT-based authentication. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and by using the Platform you accept the inherent risks of data transmission over the internet. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.

7. Data Deletion & Retention

You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings, which will remove your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention reasons. We may retain data in anonymised form for analytical and research purposes. We may also write to you or you may write to us at the contact details below to assist with deletion or data-access requests.

8. Your Rights & Choices

You may access, rectify, and update your personal data directly through your account settings. You may request a copy of your data or full account deletion by contacting us. You can also control notification preferences from the app settings.

9. Cookies & Tracking

We use a small number of essential cookies and local storage entries, each serving a specific function: an authentication cookie that keeps you signed in (expires when you log out or your session ends), and a local storage entry that remembers your theme preference (light/dark). These are strictly functional — none are used for advertising or cross-site tracking, and we do not use third-party ad trackers. You can clear them at any time via your browser settings, though doing so will sign you out.

10. Consent

By visiting the Platform or providing your information, you consent to the collection, use, storage, disclosure, and processing of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. You may withdraw previously given consent by writing to our Grievance Officer below with the subject line "Withdrawal of consent for processing personal data". Withdrawal of consent is not retrospective, and we reserve the right to restrict or deny features for which such information is necessary.

11. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our information practices. We’ll notify you of material changes via the app or email, as may be required under applicable law. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
